Athletic Booster Club (Charger Associates)
OUR MISSION: Raise funds to support DPHS Athletics! We are an organization consisting of parents, coaches and community members working together to help raise much needed funds for DPHS Athletics. If your son and/or daughter is an athlete and participates in DPHS Athletics, please get involved. Become a member of the DPHS Athletic Booster Club; Charger Associates. Your membership is important; it is your student athlete that benefits!
MEETING DATES: Third Monday of the month, 7pm in the Charger Inn (next to cafeteria).
MESSAGE FROM THE CO-PRESIDENTS: Hello and welcome to another year of exciting Dos Pueblos High School sports. We are the new Co-presidents of Charger Associates and we are ready to get started with the very important job of fund raising. We know, because we are parents too, that "fund raising" can be a daunting word. Our goal is to make the Charger Associate fund raising experience as fun, family oriented, and school spirited as possible without being overwhelming for anyone. Our hope is to involve theentire school community in our efforts and to make those efforts successful fun and fruitful for all. Come join the fun, become a member!

WHAT DOES THE ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB DO?
1. Raise money to defer costs of all athletics, athletic teams and the Athletic Department.
2. Work to improve communication between school coach, student and parent.
3.Provide opportunities for Charger Fans to participate in their student's athletic experience.
HOW DO THEY DO THAT?
1. We raise money through: Membership, Events, eScrip/Vons - Albertsons Community Partners, Gym/Field Banner Sales and Booster Merchandise sales. 2. We will help to organize Team Parents who will in turn make sure their fellow parents get all the information. 3. Opportunities abound; your own team(s) need help, ask the coach. We need help putting on the great events, selling merchandise, communicating with the community, parents, alumni and developing fresh, fun fund raising ideas.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
1. Money raised through memberships, events, sales, merchant donations goes directly to the Athletic Department. Thismoney is used to pay for transportation, officials, CIF required equipment and supplies, athletic training supplies and equipment, and each team's individual needs and requests. The department was also able to use some of this year's donation to help with the purchase of a travel van. 2003-04 donation: $59,500.00
2. Members can also make direct donations to the team of their choice. These donations go directly to the team's individual account and are used by the coach for team expenses. 2003-04 donation: $9,796.88
