Dos Pueblos High School maintains a mixed platform network of over 200 computers. All client PCs are running Windows XP and all Macs are running OS X. The campus is served by an Apple G4 XServe that houses the Primary Domain Controller and LDAP server. An Apple dual processor G5 XServe provides teacher file services, DNS, and web hosting services. An additional Apple dual processor G5 XServe provides NetBoot capabilities and serves as a back-up server. Class file services are divided between four Apple G4 Servers. All Apple servers are running OS X Server Panther and Tiger versions. The districts maintains a Dell server running Linux that houses student data. It all runs on aging network infrastructure composed of gig switches on the head end with fiber runs to a variety of 10/100/1000 switches located around campus. The campus network and computers are maintained by a team of three teachers. The District's ITS team also provides support along with community partners, such as Raytheon.
