Changing your System Password (E-mail AND computer login)

 

1. You must use a Mac to change your password.

2. Log in using your username in the following format: nheinlein

3. Input your password.   Use the password:  “securepassword” if you have never logged in before. *Your initial login will be slow .

4. Once logged in, find the System Preferences in your dock and click on it.

5. Click on accounts and change your password using the first letter of your first

name, your six-digit birthday and the first letter of your last name:  n040178h

6. During this process you will be asked for you current password.  Type

“securepassword”

7. Save your settings, your password is now changed system wide.
