Shawn Carey, Social Studies
Shawn Carey is one of Dos Pueblos' well-rounded teachers, teaching Advanced Placement World History, International Baccalaureate Theory of Knowledge, Excel, and world history. Living in Virginia for the majority of her life, Ms. Carey majored in Latin American Studies and Psychology. At the time, Ms. Carey thought speaking Spanish was exotic. When Ms. Carey came to California, however, she realized that it was more common place. An avid outdoorswoman, Ms. Carey enjoys hiking and doing water sports with her friends. Currently, Ms. Carey, far from her Virginia roots, lives with her partner of several years, Carola.
